Provides coverage for medical expenses incurred during hospitalization due to sudden illness or injury of the insured occurring outside the usual country of residence. Any kind of pre-existing conditions prevailing (whether known or not known to the applicant) prior to taking the policy or prior to commencing the trip are not covered by the policy.
Provides compensation to the legal heirs of the insured up to limits specified in the policy in case of accidental death of the insured due to the accident to the means of transport while on land or sea in which the insured was travelling as a fare paying passenger.
The insurance company will pay for cash, bank notes, currency notes, postal orders or money orders stolen from the insured himself during his Journey abroad subject to policy terms and conditions. This must be reported to the police within 24 hours of when the incident occurs and the insurance company will need a written statement from such authority, such as a police report.
It covers expenses for treatment of sudden pain, infection and removal of infected tooth. Any kind of pre-existing conditions prevailing (whether known or not known to the applicant) prior to taking the policy or prior to commencing the trip are not covered by the policy.
If the checked in baggage is lost by the scheduled airline, EFU General will compensate the loss upto the sum covered in the policy and as more specifically described in the policy terms & conditions.
It provides coverage in case a flight gets delayed for at least 4 hours and compensates for reasonable additional meal, transfer and accommodation expenses subject to furnishing of satisfactory proofs.
It provides coverage in respect of all irrecoverable deposits, advanced payments and other charges paid or due to be paid for travel and/ or accommodation in case a trip gets cancelled/curtailed due to the death, accidental bodily injury or illness of the insured or immediate family member of the insured and due to the other reasons as more specifically described in the policy terms and conditions.
In case of lost or stolen passport accidently and unintentionally, cover is provided for reissuance cost incurred in getting a new passport.
If the insured gets hospitalized for consecutive more than seven (7) days, EFU General will provide the one economy air ticket return airfare cost and accommodation expenses incurred to the relative or friend of the insured, considering the Insured travelled alone for a maximum of consecutive 5 days subject to the policy terms and conditions.
In the event of the death of the Insured, the Assistance Service Provider on behalf of the Insurance Company will arrange for transporting the Insured's mortal remains from the place of death to the Home Country if requested by a family member or legal representative.
